Includes Asana (postures), and pranayama (breathwork) to balance body and mind; and cultivate inner awareness leading into meditation.

Connecting the flow of our breath with our movement, we will create a moving meditation, drawing our awareness inward, inviting stillness and peace.
Designed for all levels of practitioner, this weekly class invites inner stillness, a space of calm that your mind and body will thank you for.
What to expect
Mat-based hatha yoga classes offering a classical yoga experience,
with emphasis on meditation.
Each class contains various elements of:
Asana
- Mat based body postures and movement.
- Designed to release tensions, strengthen, and prepare our bodies for meditation.
- Deepening into the full practice of Surya Namaskara (sun salutation sequence).
Pranayama
Working with breathing techniques to increase lung capacity and balance subtle energy and prana (life essence).

- Ujjayi
Meditation
Classes can contain varied meditation techniques such as:
- Extended shavasana
- Kaya sthairyam body stillness
- Yoga nidra
- Mantra chanting

- Guided meditation

Situated on the Whangaroa waterfront, this historic, carpeted hall hosts community yoga classes for students from Kaeo, Whangaroa, Kerikeri, Totara North and surrounding areas.
When?
Tuesday evenings.
6.15pm – 7.30pm
During school terms.
Who for?
The class is suitable for beginner-intermediate students.
Please call me prior to discuss things such any old injuries, to make sure this class is comfortable or suitable for you.
An introduction to yoga or private class can also be arranged.

About Me
Kia ora, I’m Tina.
A student of yoga for 20+ years, I am now a qualified yoga teacher having trained in Classical Hatha Yoga, at Kawai Purapura Yoga School, following the Satyananda Yoga Tradition from the Bihar School of Yoga.
I would love to share with you some tools to support your journey inwards – balancing body and mind through asana and pranayama, and building the essential skills of meditation.

This carpeted, historic hall can hold small class sizes, so bookings are preferred.
